Health funds available at Coastal Dental Care (CDC)

At Coastal Dental Care (CDC) on the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales we accept all health funds to help patients receive the treatment they need. All of our practices are also preferred providers for certain providers. Please visit the page for your preferred practice to find out which funds they are preferred providers for.

If you are a member of one of the below health funds make sure you let our reception team know when you book your appointment.

Coastal dental careHCF

HCF is a private health insurance company who provides patients with security of service, coverage and payment for your dental treatments. Many of our dental practices are preferred providers of HCF which means you may be eligible for two free check-ups and cleans each calendar year. However, this depends on the level of coverage you have. You might also be eligible for two free mouthguards a year.


Bupa offers personal and corporate health insurance including health coaching and home health care. With many of our CDC dental practices being preferred providers, you should be able to receive a maximum rebate when you visit a CDC Dental practice.

NIB is one of Australia’s fastest growing health insurers that provides health and medical insurance to over one million Australian and New Zealand residents. Many of our CDC dental practices are preferred providers for NIB which means you could be eligible to receive a maximum rebate when you visit select CDC Dental practice.

medibankMedibank Private

If you are a member Medibank Private you are eligible for a free scale and clean each calendar year. Depending on the level of your coverage you may also be eligible for over $200 worth of general dental care. We recommend before booking your appointment at one of our CDC dental practices to check your level of coverage. Also, not every CDC dental practice is a Medibank preferred provider.

If you are a member of the CBHS and have dental cover, you might be eligible for a free dental check-up and clean each calendar year. Before booking an appointment at one of our CDC dental practices it is important to check your level of cover to see exactly what you are eligible for.

Coastal dental careVet Affairs

Many Coastal Dental Care (CDC) dental practices accept the Gold Card to make sure our patients under this fund do not have to pay for treatment. Dental services covered by vet affairs include the prevention and treatment of oral disease, the filling and crowning of teeth and the construction of dentures.


HICAPS provides an easy and efficient payment process solution for health fund payments (like Medicare) across Australia. HICAPS saves time and money for healthcare providers and their patients to deliver real business benefits to healthcare providers.

Coastal dental careChild Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS)

The CDBS is a dental benefits program for eligible children between the ages of 2 and 17 which provides $700 in benefits for basic dental services. When you are making an appointment with one of our CDC dental practices’ please let us know you are seeking treatment under this scheme so you don’t reach your limit there will be no out of pocket expenses.
