Check-up & Cleans
At Coastal Dental Care, our team members are trained specifically to help make your child’s first visit a positive experience. We recommend bringing them into the practice from an early age to help them get used to the dental environment, sounds, and smell. This could be to your own or an older sibling’s appointment.
We will always do our best to make their visit is as pleasant as possible. Our aim is to make your children feel right at home during their routine check-up and clean.
Mouthguards
Mouthguards are the best way to protect your child’s teeth while they are playing sports. Custom-made mouthguards are designed to perfectly suit your children’s bite and jaw anatomy. This will not only keep their teeth safe, it will also make wearing the mouthguard more comfortable.
Make choosing a mouthguard fun. Our Coastal Dental Care practices offer a variety of colours and customising options. Your child can have their name or favourite animal printed on their mouthguard.
Our practices offer dual layer mouthguards in a single colour for all private health fund members with available dental extras cover. This means you won’t have any out of pocket costs for a dual layer, single colour custom-made mouthguard.
Myobrace
Myobrace is a pre-orthodontic system for 3 to 15 year old children. It helps to correct children’s poor oral habits before they develop their adult teeth.
The treatment focuses on the underlying causes of crooked teeth and helps develop and align the jaw of young patients.
Myobrace treatment will provide your child with customised intra-oral appliances that look similar to a mouthguard. They are worn overnight and 1 to 2 hours during the day. Different types of appliances are used for each patient, depending on the age and the type of problem.
